Beach front camping, wake up to magnificent views, secluded bays and white sandy beaches all connected by walking tracks. Percy Island is a natural haven.
Percy is home to 120 flowering species, 21 are considered rare plants. The European settlers introduced animals to Percy Island, to provide food for shipped wrecked crew. Eastern Grey Kangaroos, Red-Necked Wallabies and Colonial Goats, roam freely.
There are no venomous snakes or spiders to worry about. Just native skinks (lizards) and abundant bird life including a pair of Beach Stone Curlew who reside and nest on Southern end of the West Bay beach. There is a variety of insect species, including butterflies and spiders, none are harmful to humans, campers need to cover up at sunrise and sunset or bring insect repellent to protect their skin from the tiny tropical sand flies that can only just be seen by the naked eye.
